Description
I was near the village of Port McNicoll on Georgian Bay Ontario on an overcast winter day. As I drove along the shore, this lone tree could be seen near the beach with nothing else to be seen around it. The dark bare branches stood out against the light and almost featureless sky and snow, making an excellent subject for a minimalist photograph. I liked the photograph best with a monochromatic presentation.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
