Description
It was a January day in the Midland / Penetanguishene area of Ontario and I was seeking winter scenes to photograph. In the nearby village of Port McNicoll on Georgian Bay, I came across this impressive scene. A propellor, about as tall as me, had been mounted near the water; presumably it was off one of the ships that sailed the Great Lakes. The dark propellor stood out against the snow surrounding it.
The minimalist high key image clearly looked best in a black and white presentation.
