Description
High above the harbour, on a hill in Penetanguishene Ontario sits St. Ann's Church. This photograph, taken in winter, shows the twin steeples of this impressive Romanesque church, also known as The Cathedral of the North. It was built in the late 1880s to honour the Jesuit martyrs, killed over two hundred years before, in a war between the Huron and Iroquois indigenous nations.

Wonderful point of view composition and treatment! I only saw it from a lateral side in our short visit to Penetanguishene (not on FAA) LF

Crisp and clear - this is gorgeous in black and white. What a charming town and scene.
