Artist's Description

In the photograph, a ship has entered the mouth of the Brunswick River at Jekyll Island, Georgia. The driftwood in the foreground on the beach provides a counterpoint to the ship. Texture has been added to the photograph.

Brunswick GA is an extremely busy port for overseas shipments of numerous products into the US; for example, there were 600,000 automobiles shipped to Brunswick in 2017.
The ships appear to be so close to the beach, it seems amazing that they do not run aground!
